Some pictures from a quick stop at Mono Lake in eastern California. It was around 30 degrees, but the water is so salty it doesn't freeze. I'm really into the strikingly yellow grass and these bone-white shrub stick shrubs.

Hiked up to Dry Creek Falls with my sister today. Saw: evidence of Nuthatches on a fallen tree, a cool piece of lichen from the canopy, and a lot of columnar basalt.
