& i know they are in different states, but the problem still exist within states. according to a study of the death penalties in texas, people were THREE times as likely to receive the death penalty for killing a white woman. it’s clear that systemic racism is still very much alive & well in the US

2. call or go see your reps in person THIS WEEK to demand action
3. talk to your repub friends/family who may not be aware their money is at risk bc conservative media outlets are not reporting it

i see a lot of comments where ppl are just flinging mud back & forth & it accomplishes nothing except making folks double down on their beliefs & be less open to new ideas. i’m not saying you can’t call ppl out for being racist, etc. but just saying “haha you’re stupid” prob isn’t v helpful

which i generally TRY to do, some of y’all do make it difficult lol. BUT i thought that was a pretty good point bc really, we are in this together whether you know it or not. so i’m gonna make more of an effort to stick to criticizing politicians/oligarchs, not my fellow americans.

don’t get me wrong, i don’t think anyone should be physically forced to get a vaccine. you do you. but you can’t expect to have unlimited access to society if you choose not to participate in its public health decisions. & you certainly don’t get to tell a woman she has to carry a child at her peril

why do you get to choose to avoid risks that haven’t been proven significant, but not support women choosing to avoid a proven risk? why is it okay for epidemics to harm millions of fully formed humans for the sake of your freedom, but not okay for women to terminate one *potential* life for hers?
