Twenty years ago today I lost my first best friend, my dear grandma. I was the first of nine grandchildren and was fortunate to have her all to myself for nearly four years before my brother came along. We had a remarkable bond from the time I was a baby.

So hard to believe it was 44 years ago today that John Lennon was murdered in cold blood in front of his home. Rest in peace, John, and may your dream of peace and love for all come true. You were right, love is the answer.
