Definitely wasn’t. Conversation is what drives change but that wasn’t what they were looking for. Obviously people’s circumstances will have a bearing on their viewpoint, that can’t be helped. Trauma informed always seemed to cause a stooshie.

They did not enjoy disagreement at all. I didn’t even interact personally but other people in my situation did and the person just blocked everyone who came to parenting that way. I don’t mind people disagreeing with my views but I think people can still be respectful when they don’t. This person-

That’s what it felt like from an ‘outsider’ perspective. I also think that some people are still thinking that BlueSky will work for them in this way. Post something interesting/slightly controversial, hope people reply but then don’t engage with most of them.

I’m not sure every individual was decent. I was blocked by a fairly prominent person for the way I became a parent. I think a lot of people would only reply to people they wanted to. They were looking for agreement and reinforcement, not challenge. But I did learn a lot from some people.

I think if you came to it late, it was a little bit like a hard to get into club. You had to be very brave to wade in there. People didn’t often reply when you were brave enough. (That’s obviously my personal feeling about it so it might be a very lone view.)

They are Harris glasses. They didn’t have any the last time we went but got them the time before.

It was a bit brutal on the first bit of the way down. Blasted in the face with hail, sleet and snow. Fortunately it didn’t last too long!

It’s only 600m so it’s an up and down. We did get a cup of tea when we were done.
