As previously, hanging on by my fingernails, not really knowing how, but seemingly reasonably effectively. Intolerant of people who don't understand the difference between climate and weather but claim otherwise. A fan of long-tail transportation devices.
*I know now at least to always sit on the backrow because I always end up queitly crying to myself at the school play 😆. (And don't even get me onto the AfD and dual citizens whose kids are without a shadow of a doubt german _first_.) 2/2

I _still_ can't sit through kids' shows/concerts* etc without thinking that I will never have the same experience of the things they are playing/singing as the other parents there who grew up with those same songs etc. Then I look around and remember 30% of the parents aren't originally german... /2

My partner met my gran after we'd known each other for about at year. So at 23 he knew _exactly_ who I would be when I was 92. At least he was warned and doesn't need to worry.

I've never actually worked out what the official difference is between chutney and ketchup, apart from the texture. If anyone can enlighten me, I'd be very grateful.

Try Delia's Plum _ketchup_ (but hold back on the sugar). Blitz or not to taste.

Shout it. Shout it. The Emporer has no effing clothes on. NO CLOTHES. Shout it. Someone. Anyone.

Austrians still seem keen on them.

Yeah. I guess the chasms stop mattering so long as there's a buck to be had. Which actually in a way is the same as caring (or not caring) about details. If you can afford _not_ to care about details, why bother?

But _why_ is "the right" typically better able to paper-over gaping chasms of disagreement than the "the left"? What is the difference? I sometimes think that if you are left leaning you might be more likely to care about detail, but can that really be all it is?

It's all a bit sketchy but so long as you keep an eye on timing most of the apps let you cancel on time. Just don't buy on one app and then transfer it to said tourists' phones. Cause then you may end up with two very worried elderly parents in Oberammergau thinking they are about to be arrested 🤦‍♂️

And the little boy watched as the king was paraded by. And he was puzzled. He was sure he just didn't understand. Hoping someone, anyone would help him to understand he looked up, pointed at the king and said, "But he's got _no clothes_ on?"

I forgot the word "agriculture" not that long ago. Searched for it. Rummaged around in the dirty heaps of memories in a few dark corners of my head. Nah. Just _wasn't_ there.

Please put it up on the website and tell me how much.

A few older people are going to be sitting in their nice houses in the next few years, wondering why there's a 2 year waiting list for the local builder/roofer etc etc. Including when it is their own offspring who have tried _really hard_ to explain why they left, taking the grandkids with them.

Also see adults coding stuff as kids' stuff, so not to be enjoyed. Use the stuff in kids' playgrounds, it can be a fun workout. Go to the kids' sections of natural history museums, which can be awesome. Blow bubbles by sunset. And know that you don't have to even have kids with you to do this.

But I'm sorry you felt the need to delete. I learn from _the mistakes_ because you have to go back and analyze what is going on.

I'd already asked the 9yld if I'd misunderstood ofenkartoffeln... I got a typically dismissive "Mum you're just so crap at german" sideeye that I didn't pursue a detailed response.

From experience a bit more than €2000... Also great for ferrying _parents_ around when you are a bike family but one of the grandparents in a group is no longer comfortable riding themselves around🤫.
November 26, 2025 at 6:54 AM
I love this picture. Cargobikes are now sufficiently normalized (in some places) that this is a picture of a bakery, not a long bike.

So that means the people who switched on their.lights tonight actually have the moral highground? Oh.

I tell myself that the typo thing is a deliberate plot by Duo to make you have to pay more attention [and therefore learn faster]. That's the positive spin on their algorithms.

Tell me you are sitting down to eat in Germany without telling me you are sitting down to eat in Germany 😆. (Obviously, no criticism of the fare itself...)

I'm not detailing how long it actually took her, but the story was that she got there (before the next day).
November 15, 2025 at 5:10 PM
Not at 20 miles an hour, no. She _could_ cycle.
