Carrie in Kansas
@carriedavis.bsky.social
Mom and volunteer of various things in Kansas. Fan of some sporting endeavors. Runner, but not a fast one. Follower of #ksleg. Not a writer, but I sometimes do #vss365 for the fun.
This is what I love about social media. Shark scientist can get 100K following, as long as he throws in a joke here and there.

My last Amtrak experience had me, my kid, and the entire train, stuck overnight on a stretch of track in rural Missouri. I like the train in theory, but after that experience, I don't think my kid will ever ride one again.

How could you?

(And I actually want to know HOW because my dog will not let us touch her paws and I have to outsource nail trims and it's getting expensive.)

My ACD does that every time we come in from a walk. It's how she lets us know she's available for belly rubs, but also that she might decide to eat our hands.

BlueSky: A lot of sharks don't eat seals. Some of them can't, because they're just too small. Your silence on this issue is deafening.

Yup. It was the editor's nonagenarian mom.

I'm assuming it was a joke the email writer was making. But, legitimately, yes, it was implied within one of the emails.

I see nothing that could go wrong with the kitty having this knowledge.

Yeah, but sometimes it turns square, and then it comes down to reality.

He's on a mission from God.

Apparently, it's part of the trick. You have to wear the hat AND the apron for it to work, though.

Disappointing, but I'll get over it.

Sup.

They should, they have the poor guy's mom a literal fatal heart attack, iirc.
November 11, 2025 at 10:14 PM
Oh, yeah, I remember her. Mostly because of the double i, to be honest.
