We still plan to protest and march for LGBTQ+ rights and stand up to the Trump admin. We will be more aware of our safety next time—and expect things to get more intense on the streets. Seeing the joyful protest for TDOV across the country is really inspiring and I know love will win.

During the march we were screamed at multiple times, flipped off, and an impatient driver swerved into the marchers and narrowly missed hitting people. The vitriol towards the Trans community is being flamed by Trump and people are eagerly joining in.

Why does my mind dredge this up?

I don’t want to hate anyone, I know it’s not good for my soul, but the level of hate I feel for both of them could power a city.

Even if services at the park are limited, visiting places like Port Townsend, ocean beaches, and Lake Quinalt can make for a fun trip.
