The original u-turn by NL Labour administration last year (pre announced by Anas Sarwar) coincided with the Rutherglen Westminster by-election.

Residents of NLC will no doubt come to their own conclusions as to why, when no elections are pending, they have backtracked again.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 It's the SNP that is delivering for Scotland by fixing Labour's winter fuel crisis.

🥀 Labour promised "change", but instead they delivered more of the same by betraying pensioners.

🥀 As soon as they got into government, Labour decided to cut the Winter Fuel Payment.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 We don’t think that’s right - so we’ve introduced a universal Winter Heating Payment for 900,000 Scots pensioners.

Facebook memories today reminding me that long before I became a Councillor, I was challenging the Labour administration of North Lanarkshire Council and trying to ensure residents were heard.

Councillor Logue's statement of intent to reverse his decision to reduce mileage eligibility for primary school transport is very welcome.
However, questions do need to be asked about why he allowed this to go on for so long!

Whilst we are delighted to hear that the Labour administration has finally seen sense, just like the previous (welcome) dramatic U-turn on Active and Creative Communities, it is very disrespectful to make this announcement via the press. (1/7)

Feel the need to bring some puppy power to @bsky.app (not competing with all the cat pics on my feed - honest)

Welcome to my Rhudi 🐾
