All the re-assembly credit goes to my colleague who added glue to all the pieces so we can put it on our shelf.

A student left this on my desk during a family event on Friday. It’s lovely! It has so many loose parts! We’re going to be gluing alllll day! #TLSky #SchoolLibraries

Just one small way I can bring the fun to my colleagues this week! It feels like a peppermint mocha and cocoa kind of day. #TLSky #SchoolLibrarians

Lots of book love this week! Our hold list is shaping up to be very long. Which is good because of interest but bad because the copies I was able to (personally) purchase are limited. #SchoolLibrary #TLSky

In 45 minutes we can successfully do directions, cut, assemble (adults tape), and move through quick stations. I have Dino toys for a Dino-world play, dino counters and Dino balances. Two adults helps. I use extra thick card stock and trace three patterns in metallic marker. Paint sticks as well.

I love finishing our Dinovember celebrations with these dino shadow puppets! Today was the final Kinder class to enjoy the project along with some dinosaur activity stations. #TLSky #SchoolLibrary

These restroom info share spaces have been a success in my school. Got the idea from our public library that use mini flyers all the time. I share tips, links, and article snapshots. It’s paired with an Article Library I keep in the workroom with longer reads. #TLSky #SchoolLibrary

I love that our Barnes & Noble is now between work and home. I went to Starbucks for a hot drink and then to pick up Variation. I’ve missed hanging out in a bookstore!

Avocado Update: 7 weeks and starting to split at the bottom to have room for a root. At least I presume it will be a root. The kids are intrigued!

I’m showed a new colleague how to set aside a dozen groups of barcode ranges for generic vendors. Today, I sort mine all out! This is a feature of Destiny I think some librarians (unfortunately) overlook. #SchoolLibrary #SchoolLibrarian

Yay! Found it! I think I stumbled on this earlier this year but moved on too quickly to remember where I had found it.

I've been trying to improve my instruction with the transition into and out of library. Pairing ClassroomScreen and the browser on my interactive board has been marvelous. I've also set book checkout as our first task. #SchoolLibrary #SchoolLibrarians

Time for a games photoshoot! I’m setting up each game I want to feature during the lightning round at #SLJSummit in December. Evie’s going to help and I promised her at least three photos. #GamingInLibraries

Dear Internet, this librarian needs a plumbing or tubing expert. I bought two feet of flexible tubing at a chain home improvement store. Three years later I need more and cannot find it. I cut it into segments to hold these mini mics for my room speaker.

Help appreciated!!

I’ve learned my lesson about grants-I need to plan for more writing time. I’m lucky because most elementary librarians don’t have time for this during the day. I also preview my week in a library email and several colleagues have asked me how it’s going! #SchoolLibraries #SchoolLibrarians
