Good and loving and smart and honest people exist. There are a lot of them. More than the bad and cruel and dumb and mendacious.

They're not perfect, they just care for others, even strangers. Not always actively, but as a default.

Find them, celebrate them, commune with them. You are not alone

Only slightly exaggerated
on the one hand, small children will be be ripped out of their schools by armed agents of an increasingly authoritarian state presiding over the ashes of a ruined economy; on the other, Free Press fans never have to see a copy-and-pasted “diversity statement” on a syllabus ever again. a wash.

The AI explosion has many complications, opportunities & threats. Data centers, chips, AGI, regulation, international competition- the parts are moving so fast it’s hard to keep up. This article is important if you are trying to put the pieces together & the Musk/Altman battle is 🍿worthy.

We need more of this on social media.
Today's NYT has its 13 best-ever SNL commercials. But they missed my favorite. The Woomba, three years after we released the Roomba at iRobot. We were completely blindsided by it. My email blew up that night. [And it touches on tech taking away human agency.] www.youtube.com/watch?v=gqes...

Trump’s MTP interview demonstrated his lack character & respect for the Constitution.

Biden’s pardon of his son & the celebratory response on social media to an assassination of a CEO are demonstrations of a lack of respect for human life & the law.

We cannot defeat the darkness by embracing it.

This is what unanimous anti-authoritarian action from a legislative body looks like. No sycophants voting with Yoon Suk Yeol. Just pure pro-democracy defiance.

Today’s news out of South Korea made me realize how little I know about world affairs beyond the US, Europe & China. Currently I am reading about the rise of fascism in Europe in the 20th century so this stunning piece resonates.

This is an outstanding post about the 20th century polymath Gordon Parks. My grandmother introduced me to his photographic essays in Life & his book, The Learning Trees. His eclectic body of work is an outstanding window into the 20th century.

The coming 4 years are the next phase of Trump’s Big Lie.

All the tools of the U.S. government applied to rewriting his history of crime and deadly ineptitude.

All this happened.

He cannot change it.
