Went to a wonderful talk by Wainwright Award winner Michael Malay at First Draft Books the other night. A history of England through four unloved species--eels, mussels, moths and crickets. Really moving talk about how we can be of service to nature.

Got family and friends moved from WhatsApp to Signal, grabbed any data I need to grab from Meta, but it's this crusty old lady rescue beaver called Agnes that's making me hang on to insta and FB for a few more days. I love her!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, EVERYONE!
...and remember, you don’t have to be American to overeat, watch Planes, Trains and Automobiles, and bicker with your family today!

Meet Mojo, my Tucuman Amazon parrot. He used to be a show bird for the rescue I got him from. He'd go to fairs and events to educate, raise awareness, etc. Loves human attention. Chats like a trooper. Think he misses life on the road sometimes. Once a show bird always a show bird.
