The thing about the damning House Ethics report on Matt Gaetz, in which he is credibly accused of statutory rape and sex trafficking, is that Speaker Johnson tried to bury the report and prevent the public from ever learning about it.

Thank you to everyone who offered kind words and support today. The struggle to protect democracy is the fight of our generation.

No matter what our legacy institutions do:

We cannot back down.
We must not give in.
We will not obey.

This is absolutely right. But striking the balance right now isn’t easy.
