Tomorrow 4/16 3-6pm at the El Salvador consulate in St. Paul! Join me!
Are there any spontaneous protests today in light of our constitutional crisis? Any quickie ones planned for tomorrow? I’d join if so.

Bone chilling.

A court ordered Kilmar Abrego Garcia to stay in the United States.

The Supreme Court ruled 9-0 that he was illegally removed. Trump is pretending he won the ruling 9-0.

1/ You may not think this case means anything to you. But let me tell you why it does.

The institutional Democratic Party is guided by an almost pathological level of conflict avoidance in almost every direction. “What can we do to make the least number of people mad?” is just a bankrupt way to operate.

Am I oversimplifying? If they need Dem votes for the CR, they must allow Dems to have input on it. They didn’t, so it’s a clear No. If they compromise on a few of the more horrific points, Dems agree to bring it to the floor. Yes? No?

Can’t find statements from Sen. Smith or Klobuchar that they’ll vote No on the cloture vote for the GOP's continuing resolution that rests on Dems' aversion to govt shutdowns.
Plz call your senators now and tell them to stand firm: NO to cloture, NO to the CR, even if it means a shutdown.
CALLS ARE WORKING - it has bought us precious time, but we NEED to keep the pressure up.

Tomorrow is the cloture vote.

KEEP CALLING: (202) 224-3121 ☎️☎️☎️

Tell your Dem Senator to vote NO on Cloture and NO on the Republican spending bill.

Do NOT assume your Senator will be good on this. Trust me.
🚨 Everyone needs to call their Dem Senator right now. They are starting to cave.

Tell them:
1. Vote NO on Cloture
AND
2. Vote NO on the Republican spending bill.

Don’t let them pivot to reconciliation. GOP doesn’t need Dem votes on that and they know it.

TODAY is the showdown.

Answer to Vance: Zelenskyy has thanked our country over and over again both privately and publicly.
And our country thanks HIM and the Ukrainian patriots who have stood up to a dictator, buried their own & stopped Putin from marching right into the rest of Europe. Shame on you.

That press conference was choreographed for an audience of one and he sits in Moscow.

Once, we fought tyrants. Today Trump and Vance are bending America’s knee. And that weakens us.

I filed a budget amendment to ensure there are no tax cuts for billionaires unless food prices are lowered for regular Americans.

I thought it was common sense. Republicans… not so much. All but one voted it down.

Planning my coming week…maybe donate to the Wisconsin supreme court race, set up a recurring contribution to the Associated Press, call my senators & rep, buy nothing on 2/28…any other ideas?

5 things I did last week Musk
1. Successfully asked you to rehire 300 nuclear & avian flu workers you “accidentally” fired
2. Pressed you to pay attention to rising household costs
3. Stood up for vets
4. Fought against your tax cuts for the rich
5. Stood with 🇺🇦 instead of🇷🇺

Remember, everything is part of the same story.

They need to destroy our democracy and crush dissent because letting billionaires take over the government in order to steal from us isn't popular and a functioning democracy wouldn't allow it.

We asked Senate Republicans: is there any millionaire or billionaire rich enough who doesn't need another tax giveaway?

$10M a year? No.
$100M a year? No.
$500M a year? No.
$1 BILLION a year? No.

With Republicans in control: Billionaires win, families lose.

If you thought it wasn’t possible—well, here we are. Musk pulled $80 million in funding authorized by Congress straight from NYC’s bank account. The federal government took the funds and called it a “clawback” of taxpayer money. A lot of others would simply call it stealing.

I don't have a lot of answers and I'm not very sure of myself. But one thing I feel pretty strongly right now is that spending time condemning whomever we blame for this administration getting into power is worse than useless, it's counterproductive.
