Europe needs to synchronise space for defence initiatives, align competencies, avoid duplication & pool resources. We remain too fragmented to guarantee Europe with genuine, comprehensive and autonomous space resilience. We have an opportunity to change that, and we must.

It's #WSW2025 and the theme this year is “Living in Space". 👩‍🚀👨‍🚀

In 1991, Helen Sharman became Britain’s first astronaut when she launched to the Mir space station as a research cosmonaut. 🚀🇬🇧

Her mission lasted 8 days, during which time she conducted medical and agricultural experiments. 🌍

it’s a lunar fly-by, to test the procedures and engineering for landing on the Moon in Artemis III.

Really exciting to see this come to life after years of preparation! Another generation inspired by space.
