Here’s a chat with coach Martin Laurendeau, who has been working with Gabriel Diallo during his rapid rise to the top. “He’s still in transition for the next year or two, because he started late.” Is the sky the limit? “Yes. We’re only halfway through.” tennissweetspot.substack.com/p/tennis-nee...

Fred Fontang has worked w/ Felix Auger-Aliassime since 2017. He has obviously heard this year how he needed to be fired. Had a chat with/ him on why FAA & he stuck together. “All This Time, He Was Able To Trust His Team. He Didn’t Give Up on Everything.“ tennissweetspot.substack.com/p/auger-alia...

Auger-Aliassime on court 1 vs Comesana. You can def hear the other courts but the setup is still so much better than Bercy’s court 1. Lights maybe a bit aggressive though.

Alcaraz (whom we all like) needs to read the room, because he’s not helping that calendar debate. If players want to be heard about scheduling,Carlos needs to stop talking about it. I went all You Cannot Be Serious. There’s a way he can help;It ain’t this. tennissweetspot.substack.com/p/tennis-a-n...

I have thoughts on Coco Gauff in Beijing saying the quiet part out loud in an unexpected follow-up to my feature about the issues of that third act in tennis. She called it practice. I get where she’s coming from. Still it’s a good example of the issues. tennissweetspot.substack.com/p/mboko-i-ju...

I’m sharing a talk I had with one of the young-and-rising players of 2025, Canadian Gabriel Diallo, who started in Tokyo his quest for a seeding at the next Australian Open. End f season goal, Davis Cup, being grateful for it all. tennissweetspot.substack.com/p/mboko-i-ju...

Be honest:Are we at risk of getting tired of seeing Alcaraz & Sinner marching on draws to play against each other again and again. Could they even grow weary of this? Is there a limit to 🍿? Can we complain about greatness? Are we ungrateful b.tches if so?
