My kid turns 19 today! We celebrated by going to an @torontobluejays.bsky.social game and doing a stadium tour. L's favourite player, Bo, hit a home run and the Jays won the game so it was a pretty perfect way to ring in adulthood. 🥳 #BlueJays #Lightsupletsgo

Yesterday we lost my stepdad. He was truly one of a kind. He looked like a mountain man, loved reading, cooking, music, and made ridiculous jokes all the time. He was literally joking right up until the very end. This post is for all the amazing stepdads out there; you make a real difference. ❤️

So it begins. I have set a submission date for the first draft of my Ph.D. thesis; now I need to just get at it. This is a snapshot of only some of my notebooks from four years of research. The research needs to end now; it's writing time. Three chapters done, four to go. 💪 #GradStudentLife

Finished "Power Metal" by @vincebeiser.bsky.social. Great read for those wanting to better understand the role of #criticalminerals in the #greenenergy transition, & how/why they are currently shaping international relations. Wish more city planners/govts at all levels would read the final chapter.

Last night the London Health Coalition hosted a debate w/ #ldnont #elxn45 candidates. Unfortunately, only the NDP & Greens showed up. Would have been nice to hear the incumbent Liberals & challenging Conservatives speak on #Pharmacare, #DentalCare, the #ClimateCrisis & Indigenous rights to health.
Beautiful day to participate in London’s 30th Clean and Green campaign. A great group of volunteers supported by Antler River Rally cleaned a large section along the Thames. So great to see @westernu.bsky.social MES students out. Coun. Pribil & I reunited as helpers, not political rivals. 😊 #ldnont
