Lead Director of Mission Ministries at Resurrection, a United Methodist Church. Globe trotting grandma. Interested in staying curious and making positive changes in the world. I believe in a God who loves unconditionally and expects us to do the same.
Is there a class he can take that will teach him about the 3 branches of government and the role of the executive branch and president? He seems to be confused.

So it’s okay to give billionaires and corporations huge tax breaks but we’re supposed to believe the Republicans are concerned about insurance companies profiting off the healthcare crisis? What exactly is the criteria for ripping off taxpayers?

Sure, let people suffer to prove a point. Very adult of you.

I think if you were to ask the kids who they're most terrified of it wouldn't be close to what she's describing. They are terrified of masked agents grabbing people off the streets, shooting tear gas at faces, and generally being a menace to the city.

Please stop talking about this like it's possible. It's not. It doesn't matter what he thinks or wants and the media is ridiculous for not pointing that out every single time it comes up. And doubly stupid for asking him if he would like a third term. Do better, people.

God forbid he put the best interests of the country first. Better to have our temper tantrum.

Do we look unhinged??

Out of town for a girls trip this weekend but we found an event nearby so it’s built into our plans. Create our posters Friday, peacefully protest on Saturday.

It's too bad we no longer have grown ups in charge of our government.

Over the years I've been in an ER several times, either for myself or a family member. We've never had to wait for care because "an illegal" was being treated or prioritized over one of us. ER staff I've encountered are professionals and they do treat the more critical cases first, as they should!

So when are people going to start being held accountable for this? Clearly, the rights of so many people are being grossly violated.

She’s soooo tough. Seriously, depressing to see the DOJ run this way.

And to the 49%, I'd like to add those who chose to sit out the 2024 election by not voting.

Senator, you shouldn't be in a position to have to ignore the harm to people in 49 other states, and you would not have been if you just voted "no." That was a choice.

Unfortunately, they're incapable. I have a metric for making decisions. I need to be able to go home, put my head on the pillow, and fall asleep knowing the decisions I made did no harm. I'm not perfect but there is nothing better than a clear conscience for a good night's sleep.

As someone who regularly travels to Africa I can confirm that China is more than ready. The damage done by the withdrawal of USAID is very real. It’s heartbreaking.

Imagine that, praising your political opponent for his courage. We need more of this kind of leadership!
