Again and again, what we’ve heard from organizations that do have mostly foreign aid funding, the killer really is uncertainty… The idea of having to lay people off on a USAID-funded project that then have to get hired 60 days later or 90 days later,” Bressan said. “How does that work?"

Just want to give some love to @wired.com reporters for their unwavering persistence in bringing to light the insidious shenanigans of these DOGE nerds.

NEW: Elon Musk’s attack on USAID has cut HIV/AIDS workers off from medicine and money.

The Trump Administration claims it is allowing “lifesaving” foreign aid to continue, but in reality, DOGE is preventing vital work on HIV and AIDS from saving lives. Read our scoop here:

Big national media outlet still failing.
Headlines suggest some dispute over data access at US AID.
*Not connecting the dots with other DOGE moves.
*Not conveying illegality.
*Not communicating constitutional crisis.

What do we call it when someone who has not been elected takes control of the government inconsistent with any constitutional provision and who claims he’s voiding lawful mandates of the legislature?

The #USAID website has just gone dark, amidst reporting #Trump may try to dissolve it completely.

But #Congress established USAID in statute, and Trump can't unilaterally override a statute by executive order.

Per @alexward.bsky.social: “Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, the top Dem on the Foreign Relations Committee, tells me the USAID breach by DOGE is "incredibly serious and unprecedented."

Adds that a "bipartisan" group of Senators will discuss what do about it "tomorrow" when Senate comes back.”
