And by popular request, high-res versions of the split-view Hubble and JWST images of PHANGS galaxies are now available to download. 🔭

Scroll to the bottom of the page here:

Happy International Day of LGBTQIA+ people in STEM #LGBTQSTEMDay to all the brilliant folks in our community!

And here in the UK, it’s the 20th anniversary of the repeal of Section 28 so join us in saying #NeverAgain to state sanction bullying and ignorance.

Here’s the plot you all *really* wanted to see. Staggering numbers of JWST proposals submitted for Cycle 3, probably boosted by “easy” resubmissions of unsuccessful Cycle 2’s, which was < 1 yr ago. 🧪🔭
Good luck to all who submitted JWST Cycle 3 proposals! Don't forget to take a break, enjoy a glass of wine, and get a good night's sleep!

Hey academic bluesky, does anyone have a recommendation for a tablet to digitally annotate papers?
I’d like to sync pdfs with my laptop so they appear in my Zotero citation manager. Did anyone manage to set up something like that? Thanks! 🙏

How can we study (quasar) outflows in the mid-infrared with JWST? 🤔
Here's a great summary of our latest #Q3D study lead by D. Rupke - a cross-comparison of MIR & optical tracers: aasnova.org/2023/08/23/j...
