Ah the good old days when at least 1/3 of Republicans still had a moral compass. 1/3 of Republican senators were going to vote for Nixon's impeachment for ordering a break-in, so Nixon resigned. Zero senators would vote to convict Trump today, altho Trump's crimes make Nixon's look like jaywalking.

Imagine if these facts made it into the larger media, repeated ad infinitum until even low information voters got the message. Reaching the low info group is key to restoring democracy.

This is the only way they stay in power - controlling the narrative. We need to hit them where it does the most good - reestablish the Fairness Doctrine as a start. Then an amendment to hold corrupt SC Justices accountable.

Notice how often Trumpists incorrectly refer to the Constitution as including god, even as they quote from the Declaration. Christian Nationalists really dislike the Constitution, especially the Bill of Rights and the rule of law because it is determined by us, not by their imaginary deity.

The danger of relying on the Declaration, vs our actual laws in the Constitution, is the former accepts the idea of our rights coming from a mythical deity, whereas the Constitution is specifically human-derived, reality-based. The Declaration is the refuge of Trumpists, the Constutution is for all.
