"In the AI future, the specs will become the real code. In two years, you'll be opening python files in your IDE with about the same frequency that, today, you might open up a hex editor to read assembly (which, for most of us, is never)." Interesting!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rA...

Incredibly interesting article, and one that shows that it should be possible to build amazing interactive web pages using just PHP, no React, Vue or similar www.jonoalderson.com/conjecture/...
It's time for modern CSS to kill the SPA
Native CSS transitions have quietly killed the strongest argument for client-side routing. Yet people keep building terrible apps instead of performant websites.

Two months after submitting my PR to supercharge Xdebug's performance, Derick Rethans finally responded with detailed feedback. He's requested I break it into smaller parts, and I've rolled up my sleeves to start diving in today. Let's make it happen!

I've been diving into Lovable, an AI-powered app-building platform, and the results are quite remarkable. Discover the full story in my latest blog post: www.linkedin.com/pulse/love-...
Love is in the air
Lately, I've had the need to create a couple of simple web apps, so I decided to try Lovable, a platform that's been making waves lately. It's rapidly growing—over 100K applications have already been created and deployed through it, which is quite impressive.

I have been testing using the MCP Server plugin to connect PHPStorm with Claude Desktop and, though it works and hints at a really useful tool, it still has too many rough edges to be a real alternative to Cursor

Three weeks have ticked by since I opened the PR to turbocharge Xdebug's performance—still no meaningful response. Patience is a virtue, but it sure is frustrating. 😬

I tested Lovable and, despite some stuff requiring several iterations, I quickly built a nice-looking CV site with an admin section in a couple of hours. Manual creation would have taken much longer! Check it out: carlos-granados-cv.lovable.app/

To optimize your code, focus on sections that run very frequently. Concentrating your efforts there will yield the most benefit. Optimizing rarely executed sections usually provides minimal gains.

Optimizing Xdebug Performance When Debugging is Inactive by carlos-granados · Pull Request #996 · xdebug/xdebug
When using Xdebug, enabling debug mode significantly impacts execution speed, often doubling the run time of code compared to when Xdebug is not loaded. This performance penalty occurs even if the ...
