The percentage of children getting beaten and abused is on historic low, and decreasing ever faster. That means the current cohort of violent and selfish, unempathetic leaders in charge is dying out if we manage to become more loving and caring.

General advice: ask an expert, not the general news. Because, when you read something you're very good at, you might find quite some flawed and undercomplex news, reports and comments about it. Now transfer that to topics you hardly are familiar with.
