Seismic Geophysicist working in energy exploration. I mostly lurk in the hope of learning things, and sulk about sports results.
Why is someone who empowers the uncrewed industry so concerned with the capitalisation of crew members? Sorry, "Crewmembers"

Surely Rachel Reeves is getting that?

Congratulations, I hope to join you before too long. Waiting for a diagnosis for about four years, but I fully understand why they are prioritising diagnosis of children.

If you'll allow Great Britain rather than England, then Rugby League (it's only since the mid 90s that England competed as an individual nation). Admittedly, that's a fairly small sport if you use "teams with a realistic chance of making the final" as a metric.

Exactly this. It took us about 18 months to get a diagnosis for my son (autism and adhd), which was carried out by specialists, not GP. We're a long way short of an EHCP.

I've been waiting four years for any chance of a diagnosis for myself. Quite rightly, effort is being concentrated on children.

I think it's some time next century, so they've got a bit of time.

It didn't have a pool table when I was there, and the barman was clearly sick of people asking!

Please can he be on it?

Are you sure that doubling is going to be enough?

Have a banana!

Somebody needed to say it. I was at Esher Rugby Club at the weekend, never seen so many Trots in my life.

I was half wondering if it was a sly dig at Truss, a reminder of her ridiculous comments.

That's an issue that I've had to meet face on. My autism was only suspected as an adult, and I tried to get a faster diagnosis (i.e., less than 3+ years) through health insurance. They classify autism as a mental health issue, and I already had a mental health history, so I wasn't covered for it.

That's both quite funny and slightly evil.

I suspect that would have humanised the Cybermen a bit too much for me. As a fellow milk allergy sufferer, I'd have probably been on their side.

It's a bit weird how your rational brain can overcome some fears but not others. I remember not being especially scared of the Cybermen in Dr Who because they were clearly actors in slightly unconvincing costumes, but the Tripods weren't like that.

I think I was a bit too young to take it in properly, I just remember being properly frightened of the Tripods.

It's a cliché that every british kid of my generation grew up hiding behind the sofa from the monsters on Dr. Who, but this is the series that terrified me. I feel like I'm among friends.
