Dear Opera House, I’m sorry I missed Valentines Day yesterday (Sydney time), I was distracted and completely forgot.
Here’s a shot of you at dawn this morning as a sign you’re always in my heart.

Apricot sky as dawn wakes up Cockle Bay, which sits in Darling Harbour, which is part of Sydney Harbour.
An added bonus is the Pyrmont Bridge - once a busy swing bridge full of cars, now a lovely place for a stroll.

Weird morning ahead of a weird day.
Hot day forecast, thunderstorms this morning, and again early evening. Southerly cool change tonight.
Grey now, but at dawn, I was at Sydney’s Botany Bay.
And grey it was not.

After a sticky night, my early ride south to Cronulla was a reprieve with the wind in my face.
A gentle dawn greeted me.
It was a good start, but could get some rain later.

If you’re a Sydneysider, and didn’t get up early, you missed a treat today.
At 5am, with the sun below the horizon and the clouds at just the right height and density, a delight unfolded across the harbour.

It was a lovely morning for a bike ride. When I got to the coast, it was a bit less lovely.
