Another photo from the 11/11/25 aurora I experienced at Crown Point. These are all from around 11:30 to 11:46 when things got quite active for a short while and pretty well filled the entire sky. Note the moon rising along the horizon.

It was cloudy in Brant Lake last evening, so I headed to Crown Point where I had reasonably clear skies, and caught the amazing full sky display of northern lights from around 10:30 to 11:45 last evening.

The reflections didn't quit, but the clouds and light kept changing so I shifted my Hornbeck Boats Inc Blackjack canoe around to get some different angles, light and clouds on the morning of 11/3/25. And a fourth!

A Hornbeck Boats Inc canoe is as much of a classic Adirondack watercraft for paddling these days, as a traditional guideboat was for water travel a century ago. Add a wild shoreline, calm water reflecting snow capped peaks in the distance, and it becomes classic Adirondack scenery!

Sunrise colors over the Boreas Ponds on Monday morning. I did my best to stay as still as I could in my Hornbeck canoe, but it's a challenge to not have any ripples from canoe movement when shooting a sequence of photos for a panorama.

Boreas Ponds sunrise light, yesterday morning, 11/3/25. I realized after I got back into editing the photos in the folder, that I had shot a panoramic version of the amazing light on the clouds and mountains, and decided to edit and post this version as well.

Early November... I headed out early yesterday morning in my Hornbeck canoe to photograph the snow capped High Peaks summits and was treated to this magical display of clouds, light, and reflections at the Boreas Ponds.

The Pleiades, Taurus, and Orion. Since the air was super clear the night I was out for the comet and aurora photography, I decided to try a 5 minute tracked exposure of one of my favorite sections of the night sky.

Happy Halloween!! Make sure you don't walk into an Argiope aurantia web this evening...

The Milky Way, Big Dipper, and soft aurora shafts over Elk Lake. After photographing the comet, I did some other astrophotography and was hoping for a decent aurora. I set up a camera anyhow after the water calmed down, and happened to capture a subtle aurora display between 1 and 2 AM Wed morning.
