ME secondary to Covid vaccination. Provax/vax injured. Research and support those harmed. Current safety monitoring is not effective for these chronic conditions.
They also have no idea about symptom resolution. “Fatigue” can be two totally different outcomes and MHRA doesn’t follow up. Assumes patients get prompt in-depth investigation but it just doesn’t happen for chronic conditions - ask any woman. Suspected AE require a pathway to specialists.

Because he was PM in waiting. While it’s refreshing to hear such assessments, it’s not good diplomacy. Had Starmer made such proclamations I doubt he’d have had any of the small concessions from Trump on Steel and Ukraine for example.

Do you know if Swedish safety monitoring is active or passive? Example:they state “fatigue” is listed as a known side effect, I reported “fatigue“ as one of my side effects to MHRA. My “fatigue” is still affecting me 4 years later, but MHRA don’t know that because the system is passive?

Liverpool Uni identified autoantibodies that cause Fibromyalgia a short while ago as well didn’t they?

Also not tracked it directly, but noticed a few times that general feelings of weirdness have occurred during northern lights, and also full moon. I’m sure @angryhacademic.bsky.social posted a study about something like this affecting HRV a while ago.

Interesting that the spike in MIS-C lags covid. Tallies with my experience initially from the vaccine - 2 weeks after both doses is when I got ill/worse, and then 2 weeks after Covid. What happens at 2 weeks post immune event that drives inflammation?

4) A previous study by Lipkin's group also found "no consistent group-specific differences" in viral particles in blood, feces, and saliva and suggested that future investigations should focus on adaptive immune responses rather than surveillance for viral gene products.

MHRA need an overhaul. Their passive monitoring has let down thousands of vaccine harmed. Need to be far more proactive in investigating suspected vaccine harms, not leaving it to patients to fight for access to specialists whom refuse to investigate.

Could this “revving up” of the immune system - whilst helping fight cancer, push some into autoimmune or immune dysfunction (as some of us have experienced?) Bring able to identify who would benefit most or who was at risk prior to vaccination could further improve safety profiles.

Pointed this out to the BBC in their article on this report - which also failed to mention long covid, but did include someone with “chronic fatigue”. They are using the same playbook they have for decades with M.E.

Good data is totally absent for these purposes from both directions. Those with suspected post vaccine issues weren’t even tested for Nucleocapsid antibodies via NHS. Those that did so privately as supporting evidence were ignored anyway. You won’t have good data if clinicians avoid elephants.

Immune responses seem to be key. We need to consider the effects of all immune stimulus when evaluating risks. And find out why some people seem more prone to such outcomes. Only looking for the response to viral infections excludes a cohort that could provide valuable data.
