This all comes as the Indianapolis Local Education Alliance — a new group studying transportation and school facilities — grows closer to making recommendations likely to affect IPS and nearby charter schools.

Those recommendations are expected to come sometime before the end of the year. (3/4)

Did you know IPS operates more than a dozen schools in other townships like Wayne, Warren, Washington, Lawrence and Pike?

IPS admins have specifically said they have the capacity to take on transportation for other schools. But, could this announcement be laying the groundwork for a collection of smaller schools to chart their own course without IPS? (3/4) ...

As a reminder, ILEA formed this year under the direction of state lawmakers to study how charter schools & traditional publics in IPS boundaries could collaborate more on things like buildings & transportation.
