🤔Help needed: I've seen many studies examining hallucinations, biases in #genAI when it comes to political content. But are there any studies on how people actually use it for political information (across different demographics?)

"Die Naziherrschaft baute sich ja über Jahre auf. Sie hatte Steigbügelhalter und Mitläufer. Und sie nutzte demokratische Mittel, um an die Macht zu kommen. Danach war es zu spät." Eine klare Mahnung in der gestrigen heute journal-Sendung des ZDF - die Friedrich Merz hörten sollte.

Meta has "no plans to end fact-checking in the EU", the company clarified and "will review its EU content moderation obligations before making changes" www.politico.eu/article/mark...
Zuck goes full Musk, dumps Facebook fact-checking program
Meta will replace it with so-called community notes like on the X platform. The content moderation changes won’t be rolled out in the EU for now.

Spent the day talking to Europeans, and nobody can think of any precedent for what Musk just did to the US Congress. There is no businessman with that much power, the power to stop a routine spending bill, anywhere else in the democratic world.

A thought that might resonate with the community here: I think #Reddit is a totally understudied network. As a silent user I frequently think about the many things it can teach is about netiquette and decentralised governance.
🧐Any recommendations on what to read on the topic?
