[REDACTED] but he/him. Also lots of fountain pens, hiking, information security, and RPGs.
Ok, our new photographer at DHS is great, she even used to retouch old paintings in Spain.

I really really don't care if it works or not, anywhere. That has NEVER been my issue with this thread. My issue has ONLY been the misrepresentation of how things generally work in Europe.

Hey Google, I have turned off EVERY instance of Gemini in ALL settings across your platform, and I still get crap like this all over the various interfaces. Just make this screen-hogging, resource-depleting, Earth-scorching, untruthful and error-laden idiocy GO AWAY!

"The most important match of the century."

What I love about sports journalists is that they never succumb to hyperbole.

It has been a while since I posted something about fountain pens. So here's a Japanese Sailor Pro Gear Shikiori Meigetsu. This is by far one of my favourite pens and I think I need to fill it with ink again!

Every Day is Halloween!

My annual Halloween Calendar has risen from the grave for the seventh year running! What sepulchral horrors will emerge? What unspeakable secrets will be revealed? Only the bravest or most insane will find out.

(Pralines. The answer to both questions will likely be pralines.)

Despite my atrocious braiding, I'm really happy with my garlic harvest this year! I'm pretty useless at growing beans, or chilis or other stuff, but me planting garlic in our garden seems to work fine!

Why yes, @theguardian.com this picture perfectly encapsulates the women's marathon from the world championships. Your layout is /fabulous/. 🤪

Since I started reading this script for an unnamed play that was left in my mailbox, I keep seeing weird things. Do your TVs also just show all these strangers in masks?
@drgonzo123.bsky.social is this normal?

This was our sky yesterday evening. This was an inter-dimensional rift, right?

While I do like BlueSky, it still has nothing on early Tumblr. Earlier today I was reminded of this exchange from 2012, that's just perfection. Peak internet humour.

The shadow of a cloud during sunset. The large darker foot-like shape is the shadow of the top of the cumulus cloud in the center. A few minutes later the shadow had shifted into the shape of a fountain pen cap.

My local supermarket has introduced an automated moving robot that tries to sell things. A part of me wants to kick it. But I'm also convinced that if I do, it will probably rise up, extending several weird metal appendages armed with knives, buzzsaws and cleavers. So... I'm leaving it alone.

The blackberries in our garden are coming along nicely this year! The first ones are usually ripe enough to eat a bit later in august.
