I love my public library. They whiz books all around the state and let me pick them up at the cute little branch walking distance from my place. They accept my purchase requests. They send me amazing unexpected recs. The thematic shelving is always interesting. And the librarians are hilarious. <3

What kind of world do you want? What values are most important to you?

How can you create that and live those values in your home & your community?

You can’t change the whole world, but you CAN live by your values and create small pockets of the world that operate the way you wish the world did

What can YOU do? Where do you have influence? What resources are available to you? What are your gifts? Focus on those things, and take the actions you can. We can’t do everything but we can all do something.

A pattern for troubled times:
Row 1: put your phone down
Row 2: pick up your hobby supplies
Row 3: make something for at least an hour
Row 4: take a photo of your make
Row 5: share that photo to your timeline (with alt text)
Row 6: like others' makes.

Rep rows 1-6 until time for tea.

WE are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We all need to do what we can, where we are. We can’t do everything, but we CAN do something.

I’ve been thinking about the necessity of imagination in bringing change, which has led me to think about how important what we choose to feed our minds/imaginations is.
