Yeah I think there's a fundamental perspective difference between diff user types.

IMO a post is starting a conversation people can and should reply. But it seems many people feel like it's THEIR page and if you counter with reply or even ask a question it's a personal attack.

The people saying we never thought a mountain river town or holler would flood are new to the area or out of touch with the landscape, this is a very well known landscape dynamic. Tho people never think *their* town will happen to be the one to get too much rain at once, it's definitely a thing.
