In North Carolina, the State legislature has blocked cities and towns from protecting trees. With no home rule, we have to comply. They reduced dramatically the jurisdiction of Boone NC because we protected the mountain-sides which surround us. Enlightened Republicans killing us all!

Le projet de loi 97 est à peine sorti que les réactions sont vives et très cinglantes. Si cette réforme voit le jour dans sa mouture actuelle, on assistera à un recul monumental sur la #biodiversité, les droits #autochtones et la gestion intégrée. Clairement inacceptable. @snapquebec.bsky.social
