As someone who lives and works here and has two kids in the DC public schools I gotta say, it's been eye opening to see how much of the country does not understand this is a real place with real people living in it

Also, as the daughter of a doctor, I can tell you right now it's worth the gamble of seeing if they notice because my dad sure as hell wouldn't have. Doctors are busy and tired, and you deserve a little treat.
