It's been a busy two weeks! ARC requests went out for my October release and initial feedback seems positive. Should get edits back on the second in the series this week. And I'm 28k words into the third. Itching to get back to it but tonight is for basketball! Go #Valkyries!

I promise I'll clear out before the lunch rush starts." Sarah waved her off with a laugh. "Honey, you tip by the hour and better than anyone who'll come in for lunch. Stay as long as you want." Lou grinned and watched Sarah move on to the next table, her practiced efficiency something to admire. The Silver Fork had been Sarah's domain for as long as Lou could remember, and the woman knew every piece of gossip in town before anyone else. It made working from a booth here both entertaining and slightly dangerous.

Going through another round of edits. Which means reading again the scene that makes me cry. In the book I wrote. The scene I know is coming up in just a few more pages and then there it is. Like how could this sneak up on me, that way? Every time.

I am ruthlessly editing my current manuscript and it's like some bizarre reverse Marie Kondo thing. Yes, my favorite little chunk of words, you bring me joy but you add nothing to the actual story.

Finished this fun debut novel last night from E.M. Hedrick. I love the "claim a random stranger as my significant other" trope so it was a nice way to start. Why do so many of those seem to happen in coffee shops?

Relatable characters, good storyline, nice level of 🌶️

Productive weekend with hundreds upon of words written, hours upon hours of book cover angst-ing, and froyo with my 5 year old grandson.
