Another cool birthday with a Trek connection for today is Albert Scott Crossfield. He was one of America's first hypersonic test pilots during the early days of the space race, and is who the Crossfield-class is named after.

Also, felicitations to my favourite Captain and one of the coolest people I share a birthday with, Avery Brooks.
