MN guy, husband & dad, enjoys games and dogs of all sorts. Trying to find time to get anything done.

Trans rights are human rights.
Fuck fascism.
Read books and tell stories.
I'm surprised at the reviews for this, which I didn't read until after the fact. This is miles from his best work, but I found it super fun anyways, with lots of small touches that felt very Wright indeed. It was pretty faithful to the book. The changed ending felt unavoidably tidy and a bit rushed.

Started watching the directors cut of Napoleon last night. The pacing is much improved so far but Napoleon himself is still by FAR the most boring character, an absolutely baffling decision.

Final weekend yardwork for 2025 happening today. Picking up the last few maple leaves to dump on the flower garden. I enjoy autumn yardwork quite a lot these days. Put on some tunes, make a bonfire, bask in the brisk fresh air.

The first two of my three wishes would be to remove buckthorn and mosquitos from existence. Then billionaires.

Frankenstein was great. I was only disappointed that we didn't get any mention of the tower's great knockers.

It’s a beautiful warm autumn Saturday and the chores are done.

Finished reading Baudolino. An odd, funny, and sad adventure with some potent themes, but just a little too dry and esoteric to recommend generally.

I didn’t think of myself as a gooner gamer - I bought Stellar Blade on the promise of its action gameplay without really knowing what else it was - and yet my biggest criticism of the game so far is about the heroine’s bangs 😬
