You will be okay. There's no shame in having diabetes, using meds, using multiple meds, etc. You haven't failed if you need (more) meds. You are okay.

Every time one of them talks, it's like a "in a movie this would be ham-handed" moment.

It is not unreasonable for disabled and vulnerable people to ask the rest of the population to stop killing them, to allow them to exist as part of society. To stop participating in casual eugenics. Current vaccines do not stop transmission or meaningfully reduce risk of brain and organ damage.
