New conspiracy theory. Disney truncated the Andor show to 2 seasons cuz they saw the way the political climate was going and saw how season 1 resonated with audiences, they couldn't allow the show to depict the creation of effectual armed resistance against a fascist dictatorship

I do not have a Greater Unified Fuckwad Theory as to why some political figures such as Fetterman, Kasperian, Sinema, or whoever turned out shit. All I know is that the only thing we can do as leftists is to keep trying to get people in who advance our positions.

Probably a good reminder that you should usually judge people not by a snapshot, but by a pattern of behavior. I think it's good to know people can make mistakes, take accountability, apologize and grow from those experiences. Humans aren't perfect, don't pretend they can be.

The problem with populists is that they don't have any kind of foundational political core. They gravitate towards whatever is perceived as popular at the time, regardless of principled or material consequences. I never have trusted populists as their whims change like the tides.

1/ I've been playing Mass Effect 1 for the first time in over a decade and I've had some thoughts. First, both Ashley and Kaiden are really bad characters. This is not new to me, I already knew one was a racist and the other was a crybaby.

The only reason anybody says they only support non violent protest in the wake of violent protest is because only the threat of violence is the motivating factor for real change, but that same support is crushed by systematic state violence. It's the only cover anyone has.

Anyone who voted for this spending bill just voted for what is tantamount to mass murder. I'm not a big capital punishment guy, but this bill makes a compelling argument.
