Watched the movie "The Crowded Day" (1954) for the 1st time & was completely oblivious to the fact that staff hostels for unmarried female workers were an actual thing. The film itself veers wildly from light comedy to a nightmarish noir chase scene, but it was highly educational, albeit indirectly.

Elton John's Christmas collaboration with John Lewis was the UK's No. 1 trending topic on Twitter, on this day in 2018. It didn't last long.

Hugh Gray took the 1st known photograph of the Loch Ness Monster on this day in 1933. It clearly shows the Scottish cryptid that modern science has repeatedly failed to provide any concrete evidence for, and is definitely not a blurry photo of a dog swimming towards us with a stick in its mouth.

Not sure why Amazon are seemingly stuck on how to revive Bond. He's essentially a Time Lord with a taste for assassination, so just change his face and tell whatever story you like.

Watching 'The Day of The Beast' & idly assembling a list of Apocalyptic Christmas movies from memory. I don't mean festive films where shit happens, but proper end of the world stuff, like Await Further Instructions, Silent Night, Anna & The Apocalypse, The Children & Night of the Comet. Any others?

'Frankenstein' is an absolutely stunning achievement and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

For any that like to make note of promised sequels that never came about, here's another one for the list.
I should mention that my only reason for re-watching "Doctor Detroit" was because of a recent conversation about long-forgotten comedies we loved in the early days of home video.
Never go back.

The "Guy Forks" episode of Worzel Gummidge is about to start on BBC3. If any recent show deserved a 3rd series, or even a Christmas Special, it was this one.
