If they aren’t willing to shut down the government again (and keep it shut down) then they will piss away any leverage they have to make the ACA vote they won meaningful.

I get that people are upset over how the shutdown ended. But the reality is that if you think you were defeated then you are defeated, and that can snowball.

The deal that was made was not stupid. It was not optimal in terms of damage we can inflict on Republicans, but it has some other advantages.
