If you’re feeling stuck, take action. Any productive action. It doesn't matter what you do, just do something. Getting that small momentum is a great way to break free and move towards what you truly want to work on.

As a senior, take ownership. You'll get a plan or goal but must refine it, engage stakeholders, and create a team roadmap. Be independent and deliver on what was discussed. In many cases, the “how” is up to you and your team.

Which is the most constructive feedback you have received from an interview process?

In my case, it was a 30 minute call going over the technical elements I missed to reach the senior role and idea how to improve them. Also, some useful soft-skill tips and recommendations.

Advice for job seekers: if you have a specific role in mind, reverse-engineer it, understand the expected skills and technologies. Work backward to plan what you need to learn and how to do it.

What kind of advice and support do junior devs should or want to get out of their mentors?

Working on open-source projects is a way to access peer reviews with a high technical level and also looks very good on your CV. Below is a site with many projects that are beginner-friendly and could use your support.

I'd rather have stupid-looking code that is easy to read and work with than short and clever code that takes significant extra effort to simply understand what's going on.

How to prepare for tech interviews in 2025:

Juniors (0-2 yrs):
🔹80% coding (DSA)
🔹20% behavioral
🔹Solve 150-200 problems to stand out.
🔸Higher entry bar, solve 150+ problems before interviewing.

New developers, the key skills you need are problem-solving and logical thinking, not mastering a specific language or tool. I often help out team members in different areas by simply analyzing the problem with them, with little knowledge of the language, framework, or tools.

Do you believe AI might become part of compact offline wearables? Imagine hearing aids using AI to filter out noise, or glasses with enhanced captions.

For those experienced in going to conferences, how do you get the most out of it? I have always enjoyed the panels and presentations, but the networking, specially at big conferences, has always felt very fake. I must be missing something.

Anyone who grew up watching anime or reading manga has a thing for Japan 🗼🇯🇵 I found this mini Tokyo 3D map. It has live weather, video cameras, and subway movements. Very very cool.

Also, the level of detail and clarity of the documentation is impressive.

Almost all websites with a 100% money-back guarantee that looks like a sticker make me doubt whether they are legit or not. Anything along these lines:

I avoid discussing financial topics because I don't like having any responsibility for others' money choices. That being said, everyone should read "The Richest Man in Babylon". I discovered it this year, and it gave me insights that took me months of research when I started my financial journey.

I just released a small update to the Language Map. Now, each language has its own dedicated page. I'm curious to see if Google will index them and, if so, how long it will take. Check out an example: languagemap.world/english

I saw an interesting AI-related question over the weekend: how do AI tools affect communication and team oversight?

Honestly, I'm not sure about the implications AI has on these. What are your thoughts?

Can anyone compare Copilot vs Cursor based on own experience?

Curious because so far I have only tried Copilot and it was good, but not life changing as people make a cursor sound.

I looked into AI code reviews but don't fully get the idea. They seem like advanced static analysis, which is nice. However, without clear specs and tests, how can LLMs truly know if code works as intended? Have you used them? What am I missing?
