i did out of idle curiosity, and yeah as predicted it's trying to be retroarch with 3DS vibes. but also miiverse, but also a homebrew store to for-real sell homebrew for money.
nothing in it looked real, it was all animation/photoshop effects. mockups at best. deffo oops all redflags.

I struggle to understand how you get to 'well JRPGs suck, but...E33 is great' unless you've either never played a JRPG, are allergic to anime and just assume all are like that, or deliberately found reasons to not play them(racism is weirdly common)
I respect not liking, but this is so odd to me.

yeah, and the overview trailer revealed the game is gonna be full of these whacky goobers. So I'm not optimistic.

I don't think Talking is a death-knell, Dread was great, and Fusion is my personal favorite. But those games and i hate to say but even Other M divided up talking heads into cutscenes or snap segments. they didn't really interfere much with moment-to-moment gameplay.
