i've always found this weird. As a lover of E33, I love it cause it doesn't *really* do anything unique, it just does them well. Also it's extremely a game for freaks. What if Turn Based DMC5 for people who like "+5%crit on Tuesdays in the Rain"modifiers. Like you don't make that unless you love it.
E33 does very few new things, it's just that people who dismissed jrpgs without looking at them at all went apeshit cause they thought all this shit was new, which is both funny and mind-numbingly infuriating
