Well, on the Colorado Plateau, people can be upset if one identifies a beautiful place specifically. So I mention a general location, but sometimes still get negative feedback. I think it's human nature that we all want to keep these places to ourselves.

IKR - as a little old lady who hikes solo 99% of the time, I tell myself that it's okay to keep the skin on my knees and elbows and not leave it in the canyon.
