Someone I thought was roughly my age came up to me smiling the other day.
Turns out he’s now a granddad.
I’m not worried about him per se, but yeah, the parents are now quite young. The grandparents might be your age. And the real danger is the people who might soon have great-grandchildren.

I’ve been reflecting on this overnight and I truly believe the next time the Tories are in power and try to remove the license fee, we show them this and just say, “Quod erat demonstrandum” before walking away in barely constrained hysterics.

First off, I think he’s wrong. Second, he’s one of life’s contrarians. Third and most importantly, running cover for dangerous ideologies through “innocent” criticism is one of the big curses of modernity and this is clearly one of those instances.
