Looking back, I’m pretty sure he was a college student, but at the time he seemed so charming and mature to a group of little girls. As far as I can remember, he treated each of us like we were the grandest ladies he’d ever met. And he’s been Scrooge’s voice in my head ever since.

(It reminds me a bit of something my nana did for me and my cousins when we were little, where she would put sugar and cinnamon on buttered bread. We called it “Fancy bread”)
