My other art conundrum currently is really enjoying making digital art but having to stare at a screen all day for my day job... staring at a screen in my spare time too is hard to stomach. 😣

I want to make more art that has a narrative, but BOY do I hate drawing people / humanoids. I've tried to learn to love it but I just can't.
Maybe there's a way to make it fun but I've not figured it out yet.

I get the impression that bluesky art posts tend to be mostly digital art and Instagram art posts tend to be mostly traditional art.
I hope bluesky starts showing a combo of both cos I still feel like I can't stop using IG completely because of it.

GenAI has polluted image search results, especially for animal pics. It’s now basically impossible to find accurate art references.

It's not just music. A YT thumbnail is essentially someones business card and hook. But if they cant be bothered to put photo (montage) of a real event/thing in there, what else are they using GenAI for? Research? Script? References?
I just have to assume its all going to be AI derived drivel.
