A snippet from my D&D session notes before I rewrite them in her journal in character. This was... rough. I love playing bits like this, but this loss—on top of everything else—ruined poor Emeria for a time. 🫂

I'm glad this writing prompt movement showed up on my feed! 🥰
Slowly, she lowers his body onto the floor of the high temple. Gently, gently now. Every movement precise—gentle and patient and delicate—all of her love for him pouring out, she lays him in proper repose, though her vision is blinded by tears. She has had to do this for too many of her family, of late. After taking her time to put him to rest, she stands and looks down at him, her head bowed. His final words echo in her head: Find Lorn. She sinks her teeth into her bottom lip almost hard enough to draw blood; a choked sob racks her body. If she stays, if she says more words over him, or tries to say something or pray or— Find Lorn. —she knows she won’t leave him. She won’t be able to leave his side, if she allows herself any time there. Find Lorn. So, Emeria turns from the body of the man who had been a second father to her, who had been guide and mentor, who had been so dear and beloved to her, and she runs.

I have been loving the sheer number of mushroom and fungi pictures on my feed. 🥰 Here's a contribution of my own: what I believe was a wood blewit that I took a few years ago. I remember it certainly smelt faintly aniseed-y.
