With one weekend to go before Christmas movies kick in, Hallmark's last non-holiday title, HOME TURF, earned 1.074M live + same day viewers. Up just slightly from last week's numbers, but still down 58% year over year, when AUTUMN AT APPLE HILL had 1.7M, which is…extremely not good.

Not quite the below, but Hallmark+ has added lists of Countdown to Christmas by year, which is very useful, but it's a little hidden.

Bad news for a network that just announced a raft of holiday reality programming, but the season two premiere of CELEBRATIONS WITH LACEY CHABERT didn't factor into the ratings reports at all, meaning it likely had low six-figure viewership, at best. That's definitely not what Hallmark was hoping for

Still extremely curious about CHRISTMAS ON THE 5TH FLOOR, as 95% of production company's work for Hallmark, and has been for years

Also, PINING FOR DOUGLAS, with Brittany Bristow and Luke Macfarlane, which 100% appeared to be Hallmark title

Both are still in production. Hopefully more info to come

Netflix set to shoot new family Christmas movie in Vancouver, A DOG'S PERFECT CHRISTMAS, based on book by W. Bruce Cameron, who also wrote A DOG'S PURPOSE.

A family's struggles are exacerbated by the holidays, but a lost puppy that seems like a problem, could actually be the solution they all need.

Extremely obvious Mowry SISTER SISTER reunion just sitting there. Get Jackee & Tim Reid on board, too. (Lifetime has.)

Why haven't Janel Parrish & Ian Harding (PRETTY LITTLE LIARS) co-starred in a Hallmark joint? Do none of Meghan Ory's ONCE UPON A TIME co-stars like money?
bsky.app/profile/slee...
Know that Mowry sisters have been focused on building careers independently, but with Tamera Mowry-Housley firmly in the Hallmark family, and Tia Mowry apparently done with Lifetime, Hallmark would be crazy not to try to convince them to do a project together for the network. Nostalgia dialed to 11.

TV Line has a couple "exclusive" stills from HAUL OUT THE HALLOWEEN, focusing on HALLOWEENTOWN connection.

Don't understand why Hallmark doesn't make more nostalgia plays. Reuniting actors from shows/movies beloved as kids or teens by those now 35+ is easy ratings bait.

Still surprised TWELVE DATES 'TIL CHRISTMAS not getting splashier/earlier roll out. Hallmark holiday ratings usually highest Nov 15-Dec 15, peaking near Thanksgiving. While DATES launches in latter half of range (12/5), doesn't finish until 12/19, very late in season, with only 2 weeks to build buzz

What, how did I not notice the HOLIDAY TOUCHDOWN: A BILLS LOVE STORY poster includes the tagline "Go for four. You might find forever."

As @davidjroth.bsky.social points out, to "go for four" is not a thing. To go for it ON fourth, maybe. But not "go for four." How did the NFL not, ahem, flag that?

An actual press release, Great American Media actually sent out today.

Searching for their releases reflecting on Melissa Hortman's tragic murder, or any other newsmaking national or international tragedies of the last five years and coming up completely empty.

So, reversing course in a major way, Lifetime, which is losing golden reality goose MARRIED AT FIRST SIGHT to Peacock, is pivoting back to focus on made-for-TV movies.

They already have more original (vs acquired) holiday movies in works then they’ve had last 2 years

Two new titles title set to film next month in British Columbia, both of which likely for Hallmark: CHRISTMAS ON THE 5TH FLOOR and CHRISTMAS AT THE CATNIP CAFE.

Not much, beyond obvious feline inferences, on CATNIP, but 5TH FLOOR is about woman spending holidays with her unconventional grandmother.

Always a Christmas staple, expect to see Pentatonix on many of the musical variety specials this year to promote album and tour, if not their own special.

And, there it is. Shocked they got EW to do the announcement.

Looks like everything is premiering first on Great American Pureflix and then later on Great American Family, so even GAF got the message that cable is dying.

Two days ago vs today

What is the actual point of "announcing" something and then changing its name the next day? Bonkers business plan and absolutely wild way to run a network.

Unclear for how long, or how often, but the Hallmark+ "live" channel Non-Stop Christmas is currently playing FINDING MR. CHRISTMAS. Wonder if we'll see repeat reality—along with scheduled new series—mixed in with the usually 24/7 Christmas movie lineup on Hallmark Channel this holiday season?

Hallmark's MERRY FRIENDSMAS (a.k.a. MERRY FRIENDMAS) is, sadly, no longer in development at the network. Bummer because it sounded fun, and different from the Hallmark norm…Which is also probably exactly why it's no longer happening. Sigh.
