back in January I was quite fixated on the financial failure of the Robbie Williams biopic Better Man. I just watched the movie myself. Monkey and all, it is an artistic success, very good movie, though I did have to set aside my visceral hatred of "My Way" to watch it.

Damn, it's not often that I am left speechless from a celebrity death, but Michelle Trachtenberg did that. My childhood favorite show was The Adventures of Pete & Pete. I'm shocked not just by the passing, but that she passed before her TV dad Iggy Pop did.

reading this old NYT story about the NFL/USFL antitrust trial, and it's just Trump pulling the exact same tricks he does now, gaslighting and just saying what he wishes was true as 'fact', except instead of a football team, it's now about a foreign country at war with a hostile foreign power

reading this old NYT story about the NFL/USFL antitrust trial, and it's just Trump pulling the exact same tricks he does now, gaslighting and just saying what he wishes was true as 'fact', except instead of a football team, it's now about a foreign country at war with a hostile foreign power
I understand why it never happened, but America might not be in the situation it's in today had the NFL just let Trump have a football team.
